Platinum Class Trains are the quickest of all the ETS Services as they stop at only the main stations along the line and so are the quickest way to get from A to B on long distance trains. They also tend to operate at the most popular times of the day to travel. Platinum ETS services have train numbers starting with EP.
Inside the ETS, the ETV Platinum Plus combines a rugged stainless-steel or bronze valve body, reliable electronic actuator, and a control module. The control module constantly monitors the outlet temperature of the valve which is constantly displayed and can be read across the room in virtually any lighting conditions.
ETS Platinum Standard offers a similar fast ETS service on KTM’s network to the ETS Platinum, with minimal stops at only key stations along its route. ETS Platinum Standard trains will ply on the KL Sentral – Padang Besar route from 11 October onwards, and on the KL Sentral – Butterworth route from 1 December 2019 onwards.
ETS Platinum takes a slightly shorter time compared to ETS Gold because they have lesser stops compared to ETS Gold. You will also get complimentary snacks served on board with ETS Platinum ticket. ETS Silver ticket type is only available for ETS train travelling between Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh route.
