A popular hawkers market located in beachfront district Batu Ferringhi, away from the hustle and bustle of George Town.

I love hiking it from the bottom up to Middle Station, enjoying the sights, nature and the views en route.





You can either get to the top by hiking or taking the Penang Hill train, which also happens to be one of the steepest railways in the world! Over 40 food stalls and a central drink vendor share dozens of numbered tables.





Located at the foot of Penang Hill, this Swiss-designed funicular runs on one of the oldest funicular systems in the world, and will take you to the top past lush greenery.

We went up and unloaded and the driver went off down the hill.

Purchase tickets and ride up a short train to steep climb the hill, each train interval about 30mins, only few mins to reach the top of hill approx 700 meter above sea level and temperature around 27 deg subject to weather condition.

Visitors can still have a look at one of these wooden carriages that were in operation for ~50 years!

Tucked away in the Monkey Cup Garden at Penang Hill, Kopi Hutan is where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee and delectable cakes while being surrounded by trees and fresh air.
